Freese to Manage Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/07/2015

The Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association has named its next statewide manager. Stephen Freese of Dodgeville will replace Share Brandt, who announced her retirement earlier this year.

Freese, who is currently serving as vice president of Cooperative Network, worked for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau as its chief administrative officer in recent years. Before holding that position, he was executive director of the Circus World Museum Foundation.

At WECA, Freese will manage and direct the business, legislative, regulatory, and political affairs of organization, along with the Cooperative Network Electric Division.

WECA represents the legislative and regulatory interests of Wisconsin's 25 rural electric cooperatives. They also produce the statewide Wisconsin Energy Cooperative News magazine, and provide professional development training for its member cooperatives.
