Younger Jr. Holstein Members Honored with YDJM Awards
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/11/2019

The older kids were not the only top awards winners during the recent National Holstein Convention in Appleton. Eight students between the ages of 9-16 were recognized as finalists of the Young Distinguished Junior Member contest.

Wisconsin youth who were honored with the award include Brianna Meyer, Chilton; Ainsley Noble, Lancaster; and Clarissa Ulness, Valders.

The students were chosen based on their entry book and award application that looks at their involvement in the Holstein industry and other leadership and scholastic activities.

Wisconsin's finalists for the Distinguished Junior Member contest, which is for members 17-21 years of age, were Allison Breunig of Sauk City and Kalista Hodorff from Eden.

The National Holstein Convention was held June 24-27 at the Red Lion Paper Valley Hotel.
