DBA Hosting Immigration Reform Event in De Pere

The Wisconsin-based Dairy Business Association has teamed up with a coalition of leading business, manufacturing and agriculture groups in launching a 'Day of Action' for immigration reform today. The movement includes a national press conference in Washington, D.C., as well as events in more than 60 congressional districts across 20 states in an attempt to call on Congress and the White House to work together to enact immigration reform.

The DBA will be co-hosting one of the informational sessions at its office in De Pere at 2:30 p.m. today. Speakers include George Klaetsch with the Partnership for a New American Economy, Laurie Fischer, director of dairy policy for DBA, and Marcus Brenneman, Nestle USA, Little Chute Pizza

Similar meetings across the country are being organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, American Farm Bureau Federation, AmericanHort, the National Association of Manufacturers, and Western Growers Association.

In addition, some of the groups will be releasing new polling results on the issue of immigration reform.
