Farm Bureau's PAC Backs Jarchow for State Senate
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/03/2018
The political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is endorsing Rep. Adam Jarchow in his bid for the open 10th Senate District seat.
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee says Jarchow, a Republican from Balsam Lake, is facing Democrat Patty Schachtner in a quest to fill the post vacated by Sheila Harsdorf last month when she was tapped to become the state's new agriculture
secretary.
"Jarchow demonstrated a strong knowledge of agriculture and a determination to continue his fight against burdensome regulations that hinder progress for farm families when interviewed by local farmers for the open seat in the 10th Senate District," said WFBF
Senior Governmental Relations Director Rob Richard. "Adam will hit the ground running in order to tackle the tough issues facing farmers in northwest Wisconsin."
A native of rural western Wisconsin, Jarchow grew up working on neighboring dairy farms. He is now a small businessman and attorney representing farms and small businesses. Rep. Jarchow has represented the 28th Assembly District since 2014.
A special election for the seat will be held on January 16.
Senate District 10 covers parts of Burnett, Dunn, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties in northwestern Wisconsin.
