Keown-Bomar Appointed as NW Regional Extension Director

The University of Wisconsin-Extension has a new Northwest regional director. Julie Keown-Bomar has been appointed to the position, where she will provide administrative leadership to the region's 20 counties, including leadership for human resources, financial resources and external relations.
Keown-Bomar has served as the Eau Claire County Extension department head since 2008 and began her career with Cooperative Extension in 2005 as the Eau Claire County Family Living Educator.
She has a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Minnesota along with both a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in international studies from the University of Wyoming.
Keown-Bomar is a resident of Menomonie and she plans to establish the new Northwest Regional office in her home town.
