PDPW Webinar Focuses on Use of Cover Crops

The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin will hold its next World-Class Webinar in August on making the right decisions with cover crops.
The program, being held August 17, will explore the countless options dairy producers have when it comes to cover crops. Matthew Ruark, Associate Professor of Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin Madison, will discuss the pros and cons of cover
crops when interpreting new research compiled throughout the Midwest and Wisconsin.
Specifically, the presentation will look at outcomes of cover crops including: erosion, nutrient capture, forage generation and understanding the climate in order to make realistic and obtainable goals.
The presentation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The cost to participate in the on-line interactive program for PDPW members is $100 per registered computer. Non-members can join in for $125. There is no limit to the number of people who wish to share one computer for the program.
