Wisconsin Students Earn Scholarships from Monsanto Program
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/15/2016

Eighteen Wisconsin students were awarded a total of $27,000 in college scholarships this spring from America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The program encourages rural youth to remain in agriculture and provides $1,500 scholarships to support their education.

Scholarship coordinators say farmers play a vital role by promoting the opportunity to local students and endorsing their applications.

The scholarships, administered by the National FFA Organization, are available to high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in ag-related fields.

Winning recipients from Wisconsin include David Pintens, Barron County; Sarah Van Asten, Brown County; Jordan Kaczorowski, Buffalo County; Vanessa Nicpon, Clark County; Heidi Mueller, Dane County; Matthew Stanek, Eau Claire County; Emilie Gietzel, Green County; Alicia Church, Jefferson County; Brooke Moore, Lafayette County; Trevor Mack, Manitowoc County; Danielle Angotti, Outagamie County; Meikah Dado, Polk County; Erin Marchant, Rock County; Kori Beisbier, Sauk County; Erica Helmer, Sheboygan County; Travis Schmitt, Vernon County; Megan Reynolds, Walworth County; and James Kollross, Wood County.
