A recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison is one of two students in the nation to earn a Graduate Kildee Scholarship from the National Dairy Shrine. Linda Behling will enter a fellowship with Vita Plus and UW Madison this fall to begin working towards a graduate degree in dairy nutrition.

Linda was an active member of the Badger Dairy Club, taking on officer positions and serving on several committees. She also was a member of the UW-Madison Dairy Judging and National Dairy Challenge teams, a member of Sigma Alpha professional agriculture sorority, Collegiate FFA, and the Association of Women in Agriculture.

In addition to school, Behling has served on national and regional Junior Holstein Association planning committees. She was a finalist for National Holstein Distinguished Junior Member, as well as receiving numerous awards recognizing her involvement and achievement within the Holstein Association and FFA.

She interned as herd manager for Crave Brothers' Farm LLC and Ragnar Holsteins, gaining experience in large and small herd operations, reproductive management, and merchandizing genetics. Her family owns Wildweed Holsteins, raising replacement heifers in Fox Lake, where she plays a large role in farm operations and has a significant role in breeding and exhibiting high-quality registered cattle.
