Strassburg Tapped to Lead WMMB Board

A dairy producer from Wittenburg was elected chairman of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. During the check-off's annual reorganization meeting this week, Jeff Strassburg was chosen to lead the 25 member panel by his colleagues. He replaces Connie Seefeldt of Coleman, who held the post for five years.

Dean Strauss of Sheboygan Falls was re-elected vice chairman; Steve Sternweis from Marshfield will continue to serve as secretary; and Jay Stauffacher of Darlington will remain as treasurer. Other executive committee members are Ben Peterson, Grantsburg, Communications Committee Chair; Ken Heiman, Marshfield, Channel Management Committee Chair; Kay Zwald, Hammond, Policy/Bylaw Committee Chair; and David Bangart, Greenwood, Center for Dairy Research Liaison Committee Chair.

The WMMB Board of Directors is comprised of 25 dairy producer-directors who set WMMB policies and procedures, supervise business affairs and approve annual budgets.
