Class III Milk Price Hits Six-Year High of $24.54 for July

The USDA announced that the July Federal Order Class III price was $24.54 per hundredweight. That was $3.50 more than June's price and $6.99 higher than July 2019. It's also the highest Class III price since October 2014 when it was announced at $24.60.

By contrast, the Class III price for each of the past six months of this year were $17.05, $17.00, $16.26, $13.07, $12.14 and $21.04, respectively.

The Class IV component price was 86-cents higher than last month at $13.76, but $3.14 less than last year.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin all milk price for June was announced at $19.50 per cwt., up $5.90 from May's price and $1.60 more than the same time a year earlier.
