DATCP Issues Consumer Advisory for Sugar River Yogurt Product
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/21/2016

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture's Division of Food and Recreational Safety is issuing a consumer alert for an undetermined amount of yogurt that is falsely labeled to indicate that it was made at a Wisconsin dairy plant by Sugar River Dairy in Albany. As a result of the false labeling, assurance of product safety cannot be assessed.

Products subject to this alert include 6 oz. plastic containers of 1% assorted fruit flavored yogurt, 24 oz. plastic containers of 1% vanilla, 5 lb. plastic containers of 1% and whole milk yogurt, and 20 lb. plastic bags of yogurt.

No reports of illness have been reported as a result of eating these products. Consumers who have any of these products can return them to the original place of purchase or discard them.

Mislabeled products may have been sold at grocery and other retail stores since April 2016.
