Farm Tech Opener Gets Good Crowd, Great Weather
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/16/2008

A slight breeze blow through the grounds of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days on Tuesday, which felt good in the hot sun. And the opening day of the 55th annual farm show also showed a good crowd of attendees. Tent City Coordinator Anna Maenner told Wisconsin Ag Connection that she doesn't know the exact number of visitors for the show's first day, but said feed back from exhibitors was positive.

Meanwhile, today should be another nice day. Weather forecasters say FTD goers can expect temperatures in the upper 70s with partly cloudy skies.

In the Family Living Tent today, people can watch presentations from Railroad Ron and Bob, Wisconsin Friendship Chorus, Story Teller Jerry Apps, Alice in Dairyland Ashley Huibregtse, and Winnebago County Extension Agent Christine Kneip.

And field demonstrations will again feature the latest technology in alfalfa chopping and bagging.

The show runs from 8:30 to 4:30 on Wednesday and Thursday.
