FarmFirst Dairy Co-op Awards Scholarships to Students

FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative announces its 2017 scholarship recipients. The cooperative recently awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to 25 high school and collegiate students pursuing postsecondary education.

"There are lot of changes taking place in the dairy industry, but one thing that won't ever waver is our commitment to our youth," says FarmFirst General Manager David Cooper. "They are the future of dairy, and we want them to have the right resources for them to continue succeeding in the classroom, and eventually within their careers."

This year's scholarship recipients from Wisconsin include: Cameron Goebel, Gilman; Matthew Griebenow, Watertown; Emily Hutterer, Manitowoc; Jennifer Judd, Mount Horeb; Brian Lash, Mindoro; Morgan Lund, Mondovi; Trevor Meyer, Unity; Ashley Moore, Gratiot; McKayla Nigon, Greenwood; Daniel Obert, Orangeville; Rose Paul, Edgar; Brittany Rennhack, Watertown; Deveni Rowley, Loyal; Kara Rudolph, Medford; Alyssa Seitz, Seymour; Kaitlin Twardokus, Mayville; Sheila Weninger, Rubicon; and Kenneth Wesle, Stetsonville.

Scholarship recipients were selected based on leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, essay responses and their future plans and career goals.

All members of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative and their children attending four-year universities, two-year technical programs or short courses and high school seniors planning for postsecondary education were eligible to apply for the scholarships.
