'Embrace' Wins Wisconsin State Holstein Championship Show

Another Holstein cow owned by Budjon Farms & Joel Kietzman of Lomira has taken top honors at the Wisconsin Holstein Champion show in Eau Claire. 'Budjon-JK Durham Embrace-ET' was named Senior & Grand Champion Female of the Open Show, Best Udder of Show, Best Bred & Owned of Show and winner of the Four Year Olds class. The Reserve Senior & Reserve Grand Champion Female of the Open Show was 'La-Par 1593 Gin 1824,' owned by Tom Lyon and Bob Osborn of Westfield. She is also a four-year old cow.

The Intermediate Champion of the Open Show was 'Budjon Durham Jubilee-ET,' owned by Budjon Farms. They were also honored for being Premier Breeder & Exhibitor, and Produce of Dam winner of the event. And 'Regancrest Elton Durham-ET,' of Select Sires was the Premier Sire of the Show.

In the Junior Show, the Champion Female honors was presented to Breinne Hendrickson of Belleville for 'Jeffrey-Way Tish-ET.' 'Railane Durham Go Getaway,' owned by Kristine, Lindsey & Emily Wogsland from Scandinavia was the Reserve Junior Female.

The Champion Bull was 'First Glance Ptime Choirboy,' owned by First Glance Holsteins of Melrose. Cody Owen's bull, 'Woods-Line Linjet Kenny-ET,' was named the Reserve Grand Champion Bull. He is from Pulaski.

The Wisconsin Holstein Championship Show was held on Monday and Tuesday at the Eau Claire County Fairgrounds. The competition was judged by Ricky Allyn. A total of 195 head of animals went through the ring during the two-day event.
