Irrigation & Water Management Workshop Planned
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/24/2012
The Chippewa County UW-Extension Office will host an Irrigation and Water Management Workshop on July 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Woodruff Farms, north of Chippewa Falls. The workshop will focus on water quantity and availability, irrigation scheduling, uniformity testing, and fertigation.
Speakers and topics will include Mike Parsen, Hydrogeologist, UW-Extension, Wisconsin Geologic Survey, 'Water Availability in Western Wisconsin'; John Panuska, UW-Extension Biological Systems Engineer, 'Determining Irrigation Scheduling and Soil Moisture'; and Barry Graham, Roberts Irrigation, 'Using
Fertigation in Your System.'
There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is encouraged to plan for materials. 2.5 CCA continuing education credits in soil and water management have been applied for.
Woodruff Farms is located 5 miles north of Chippewa Falls on State Hwy. 124, north of the overpass, east side of the highway.
