Stewart-Peterson Offering Grain Marketing Workshop Series
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/22/2009

Stewart-Peterson, a commodity marketing education and advisory firm, is offering a series of interactive workshops for farm families to learn how to navigate the current volatile commodity markets. All workshops will be held at the Riverland Energy Cooperative community room in Arcadia from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The remaining workshops will be held on February 5 and February 17.

"Marketing is a key component in determining a farm family's financial future, from tomorrow to their retirement and for the next generation," says Naomi Blohm, market advisor and workshop presenter.

Attendees will learn the very basics of cash marketing, futures, options, fundamental and technical marketing analysis. They will also gain knowledge on how to develop dynamic strategies to meet individual needs and customizing those marketing strategies based on individual risk styles, ensuring that their farms are positioned to act well ahead of price moves.

"With today's fast-moving markets, consistently successful marketing demands a strategic, disciplined approach," Blohm says. "Learning the basics of marketing and understanding the importance of strategy will help farmers take control of their marketing and avoid feeling powerless."

Stewart-Peterson offers strategic commodity opportunity and risk management, brokerage services, advisory publications and education about commodity marketing.

Farmers can reserve their seat by calling 800-334-9779. There is a $10.00 administrative fee per farm to attend each session.
