Wisconsin farm bureau to teach storytelling strategies
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 09/27/2023

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation's Promotion and Education Committee is gearing up to host a one-day Leadership Boot Camp on October 28 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Fond du Lac. This year's focus for the Leadership Boot Camp is 'Storytelling Strategies,' aiming to equip attendees with effective consumer outreach tactics.

The event will feature a panel discussion highlighting sustainable storytelling successes and will provide insights into new avenues for sharing Wisconsin's agricultural story through the WFBF's consumer-facing website, Gather Wisconsin.

Brenda Dowiasch, Chair of the WFBF Promotion and Education Committee, expressed her excitement about the event, stating, "Leadership Boot Camp offers the opportunity to network with members from across the state. I'm looking forward to the guest speakers and panel discussion during the program on Saturday. You are not going to want to miss out on this great event."

Preceding the Leadership Boot Camp, Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom will host a Volunteer Rally on October 27. This event promises a fast-paced workshop filled with new resources, hands-on activities, and ample idea-sharing opportunities. Attendees will also have the chance to embark on a tour and savor dinner at LaClare Family Creamery.

Both the Volunteer Rally and Leadership Boot Camp are open to Farm Bureau members, including collegiate members. Registration is priced at $30 for both days or $20 for a single day, covering the cost of training and lunch. For those interested in joining the LaClare Family Creamery tour and dinner, there is an additional $15 registration fee. The deadline for registration is October 16.
