WAC To Hold 24th Annual Benefit Auction

The Wisconsin Agribusiness Council is holding its 24th annual fundraising auction this summer as a way to raise money for educational programs for the public to learn about food, fiber and natural resources. The sale is scheduled for August 19 at the Mandt Center in Stoughton.

While there, bidders will have a chance to purchase cheese, hotel and restaurant certificates, animal supplies, landscaping and orchard supplies, advertising certificates and specialty items. Refreshments will also be available at the event.

Businesses throughout the state are donating their products and services to be sold to the highest bidder. Last year over 200 companies and individuals donated products and services, raising over $18,000 in funds.

Meanwhile, the WAC is currently looking for businesses to make a donations for the sale. Items can be pledged by calling 815-858-5040.

The Wisconsin Agribusiness Council is a membership organization for agribusinesses in Wisconsin. The Council, and its educational foundation, the Wisconsin Agribusiness Foundation, strive to educate consumers on the importance of our agricultural industry to their everyday lives and to provide the industry with a voice at the state level.
