Wisconsin Students Earn National Dairy Shrine Scholarships
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/29/2010

The National Dairy Shrine has announced the winners of their scholarships for 2010. The awards will be presented at the group's annual banquet in Madison on September 30, where more than $40,000 in total scholarship will be given to students at that event.

Among the Wisconsin students receiving money for college include Sandra Kirchner from Clintonville, who is a Dairy Science major from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She will receive $1,000 for a NDS Student Scholarship.

NDS/DMI Milk Marketing Scholarships, also valued at $1,000, will go to Ashley Julka, Rosendale, majoring in Agricultural Marketing Communications at UW-RF; Carissa Levash, Brillion, Dairy Science major at UW-Madison; Curtis Horsens, Cecil, studying Dairy Science at UW-Madison; and Danielle Brown, Dodgeville, Dairy Science and Life Sciences Communication major at UW-Madison.

This year's Klussendorf/McKown Scholarship winners from Wisconsin include Danielle Brown, Dodgeville; and Kelly Lee, Johnson Creek. These $2,000 scholarships are awarded by the National Dairy Shrine and funded by the Klussendorf Association. They were made possible by generous gifts by the late Klussendorf member, Chris Kampf, and gifts from fund raisers by the Klussendorf Association.
