WPA Announces PQA Plus Site Assessment Rebate Program
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/28/2016

The Wisconsin Pork Association is once again offering $75 rebates to producers who complete PQA Plus Site Assessments prior to December 15. Program coordinators says pork farmers have always been committed to providing a safe and affordable product to consumers, but completing all levels of the PQA Plus program enhances that level of commitment.

To qualify for the rebate, producers must meet with a PQA Plus advisor to complete site assessment. Rebate amounts may not equal more than the total assessment cost. The funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted.

The purpose of this program is to encourage producers to be proactive in providing the best possible care for their animals and show commitment to the ethical principles of pork production.

Having a PQA Plus advisor review your operation can both improve the well-being and productivity of animals in your care by noting changes or additions that may not otherwise be noticed.

Revised in June 2016, the PQA Plus site assessment now aligns with the Common Swine Industry Audit.

Producers are asked to call 800-822-7675 to work with their PQA Plus advisor.
