Tile Drainage Seminar Slated for August 22

Farmland owners that want to learn more about the science of tiling agricultural lands are being invited to an evening seminar near Waldo later this month.

Sponsored by the Sheboygan County University of Wisconsin-Extension office, the August 22 program will cover a wide spectrum of drainage subjects from instillation principles to understanding drain tile water outflow and strategies for improving drain tile water quality.

Subjects will include engineering principals of sub-surface drainage systems, the permitting & approval process for field drainage and wetland projects, research results on drain tile water quality, and BMPs that help protect the quality of drain tile water quality.

The seminar will be held at Sunrise Acres from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. For additional information or to sign-up, call the Sheboygan County Extension office at 920-459-5904.
