Class III Milk Price Announced at $19.77 for August

After reaching a six-year high in July, the USDA announced that the August Federal Order Class III price fell a bit to $19.77 per hundredweight. That was $4.77 less for the month, but $2.17 higher than August 2019.

By contrast, the Class III prices for each of the first seven months of this year were $17.05, $17.00, $16.26, $13.07, $12.14, $21.04 and $24.64 respectively. That's an average of $17.62 for the year.

The Class IV component price was $1.23 lower than last month at $12.53, and $4.21 less than last year.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin all milk price for July was announced at $22.30 per cwt., up $2.80 from June's price and $3.50 more than the same time a year earlier.
