UW Agronomy/Soils Field Day Slated for August 22

The latest research conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Extension will highlight this year's Agronomy/Soils Field Day at the UW-Arlington Ag Research Station next month. The August 22 event will focus on emerging technologies and relevant crop production issues.

UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences researchers and UW-Extension specialists will host four tours scheduled throughout the day, where topics will include soil fertility and management, grain production systems, pest management, and interseeding in grain and forage systems.

Lunch will be available on the site for a $5 donation to the Badger Crops Club. Additional exhibits to visit between tours or during lunch include: UW Soil & Forage Analysis Lab, SnapPlus, Nutrient and Pest Management Program, and others.
