Annual UW-Madison Football Fire-Up Slated for September 6

The Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association is celebrating another year of Badger Football by holding its 32nd annual Football Fire-Up next month. The festivities are being planned for September 6 at the UW Fieldhouse in Madison from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

While there, alumni, friends and faculty will take part in a silent auction and lunch before watching the Badgers take on Marshall.

The event will benefit the new Wisconsin Rural Youth Scholarship Fund, which will provide financial assistance to undergraduate students from the state's rural high schools.

"Strengthening Wisconsin's rural communities and industries is central to the mission of CALS," says CALS Dean Molly Jahn. "We recognize that affordability is a challenge for many rural families when weighing decisions about college, and we want to ensure that rural students who put in the hard work to attend our university aren't left behind."

Tickets to the Fire-Up are $25.00, and do not include game tickets this year.
