State Egg Production Still Climbing

Wisconsin egg production during July was 154 million eggs, up seven percent from last month, and 18 percent more than last year.
According to the USDA's latest Chickens and Eggs report, the average number of all layers on hand during the month was 6.01 million, up slightly from last month, and 10 percent more than in July 2016.
Eggs per 100 layers were 2,561, up seven percent from both last month and last year.
