UW-RF Sets Listening Session for New Chancellor Search

A public listening session for community members on a new chancellor for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will be held August 26 from 7-9 p.m. at the River Falls Public Library. The school is conducting a nation-wide search for a new chief executive officer to replace Chancellor Don Betz, who resigned in July to assume the presidency of Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

The next chancellor will have many opportunities to impact the region and will face some challenges, according to college administrators. The chancellor is the highest position on the UW-RF campus, and reports directly to the president of the University of Wisconsin System. The role of the chancellor is increasingly focused on activities beyond the day-to-day operations of the campus.
