World Dairy Expo Kicks Off in Madison with New Schedule
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/03/2022

One of the largest agricultural events in Wisconsin is in full swing as World Dairy Expo opened its gates in Madison on Sunday. Officials with the dairy and trade show say they expect about 70,000 people from over 100 countries to attend the five-day event, which is operating under a revised schedule starting this year.

The festivities kicked off Sunday with the National 4-H Dairy Cattle Judging Contest, National Intercollegiate & International Post-Secondary Dairy Cattle Judging Contests, 4-H Awards Banquet and the International Post-Secondary Judging Contest Awards Banquet.

Monday's show ring activities include the International Junior Holstein Show, International Milking Shorthorn Show, and International Jersey Heifer Show.

This year's tradeshow will be as large as ever with many new exhibitors providing producers a chance to explore everything from new self-propelled feed delivery systems to computerized herd management software. Unlike other years, the trade show will open on Tuesday and end on Friday.

Meanwhile, attendees can take in virtual tours and educational seminars throughout the week.

Daily entrance fees for World Dairy Expo are $15 per person, or $40 for a season pass. Hours for the event run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Online tickets can be purchased in advance by going to: www.worlddairyexpo.com
