Many Assembly Seats Will Not be Contested in November

Despite the fact that many state legislators are either retiring or not running for re-election this year, more than half of the candidates for State Assembly will not face opposition in the November general election.
Reports say that 52 of the 99 districts in the state will only have one candidate on the ballot, as 29 Republicans and 23 Democrats are running unopposed.
Meanwhile, the State Senate will have more activity on election night because only three candidates of 33 districts are running unopposed.
